NAMAQUALAND FIELD GUIDE
As qualified Field Guide (FGASA # 12588) I am now also registered to take tours to the Western parts of the Cape known as Namaqualand.
During Flower season, there are spectacular flower shows, such as in Clanwilliam in the last weekend of August.
For the biggest succulent nursery in the world, visit Vanrhynsdorp. Nieuwoudtville is famous for its flowering bulbs. Ancient rock art can be seen in Cederberg.
This semi desert area has many hidden treasures, not only diamonds and a rich history from pre-historic times, but it is mostly known for the wonderful wild flower displays in Spring!
Very special, though, are its people; close to the earth, and known for their story-telling.
